In June 2006, the Dorking Decongestion Forum and Reigate & Banstead Decongestion Forum joined forces to form easit the East Area of Surrey Initiative for Transport .  By bringing together local authority with the most influential businesses, the Forum addresses ways of reducing corporate congestion on roads together with other transportation issues facing businesses today.  To date the easitNETWORK has converted in the region 5,000 single occupant car journeys made each week to alternative, greener forms of transport.  By joining the easitNETWORK, companies become part of an active group of over 40 members representing over 70,000 employees across the South East.
