Bespoke Car Share Web site

Bespoke Car Sharing

Car sharing can save money, reduce stress, ease congestion & help the environment. With a database of employees all travelling to/from the same place of work, there exists a greater opportunity to find a match. easitNETWORK provides bespoke car sharing websites for local business communities.

This means that individuals share a database of other interested car sharers making similar journeys. Bespoke networks greatly increase the chances of finding someone to share with and easitNETWORK now boasts over 10,000 members with 48% sharing on a regular basis.

However, simply having a car-share network will not be enough. A critical element in the success of a car-share scheme is getting people to register. You should therefore, do all you can to promote the scheme by holding in-house travel road shows which can be run by the easitNETWORK team, displaying posters and leaflets, as well as news items in your staff emails.

The provision of dedicated car-share parking bays right next to the main entrance will also provide a highly visible advertisement for any people who may not be aware that the scheme is running.

Whilst we understand it may not always be possible or practical to commute sustainably every day or in every season, we ask our members to consider if it is necessary to drive to work, but if so can the journey be shared?

Rotational staff parking schemes

Many businesses find that they just don’t have enough parking spaces to accommodate all their staff who chose to drive to work. As well as encouraging more staff to car share, a solution is to introduce a Rotational Parking Scheme policy. Put simply this means that all staff will be provided with a pass that allows them to use the car park for a proportion of their working week and for the day they are not allowed to park, they will need to arrange car sharing, use public transport, cycle or walk.
