Staff Travel Survey |
Each business is encouraged to conduct an on-line travel survey. This will provide the employer with details of how their staff travel to and from work, why they use that method and if they are willing to change |
As traffic is such a contentious issue, response rates have averaged 85%. If all staff members have email access response rates increase to an average 96% |
Staff Travel Clinic |
If the majority of staff have no access to email then the best way to find out about their travel habits is by interviewing them |
easit clinicians are normally on site for 2 hours interviewing staff on their travel habits and explaining alternatives to the car containing just a driver. |
Car Share Website |
3,500 people registered
37% of these people are sharing their daily commute on average 2.5 days each week |
Because of the sheer size of the forum, there is a strong likelihood that someone looking to use the site will be able to find a sharer.
The cost of development is divided by the number of participating organisations resulting in a huge monetary saving. |
Lunchtime Shopper |
Provides a lunchtime service for easit Members based outside of town centres, enabling participants to shop/bank etc without having to use their cars |
Again, this is something that can be preclusive due to cost but with several organisations taking part, it becomes viable |
Discounts at Local Retailers |
Discounts available at selected stores for all easit Members using the lunchtime shoppers |
Negotiated with the aid of the local Town Centre Manager, dozens of retailers have been keen to join the scheme |
